If I were to go to a country music festival, I would wear….

Hey Fashionistas,

Ok…so Confession time: I am absolutely obsessed with country music! I know you’re probably thinking, what is a city girl doing listening to country music?? I mean when you first meet me, you can easily guess that I listen to pop music (which I do) but more importantly, I really really enjoy country music. As a matter fact, that’s all I listen to in the summer…unless I’m working out. I just love me some Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Maddie & Tae, Thomas Rhett…oh the list just goes on and on!!

❤ Queen of Country ❤

Now as much as I loveee country music, I actually have yet to go to a country music concert/festival. I know..I know…it’s awful, really awful…practically a sin!

But if I were to go to a country music festival, I would wear…

However, my favorite look that I would wear to a country music festival is…..

…..and my favorite buy of the weekend…… Coach Nolita pink satchel in pebble leather!!

Isn’t this just a beauty!! I ordered this online just yesterday so clearly it hasn’t arrived yet, but I can’t wait to finally hold it in person ❤ ❤

Now this next fashion buy, I don’t technically have it with me anymore but I did take myself out on a movie date to watch Captain America!! A lot of action, super powers, and a lot of hot men (in suits?? uniforms??)…but my eye was only on one guy 😉 Seriously, what more can a girl ask for??

Welcome (Back) to New York….. and it’s Tie-Dye Time???

Hey Fashionistas!

I’m so excited to be back in NYC and blogging! The past few months have been crazy with college graduations, job hunting, and my personal favorite, traveling! Thankfully, with a new job and things having settled down, I’m super excited to share with you all my fashion adventures and thoughts again 🙂

————————————————————————————————————————-It’s finally summer!!!! Which means bright and fun outfits that just scream “Hello Sun!!” How do I welcome in summer? In my new DIY tie-dye tank top!!! Nothing to me screams bright and fun more than some funky bright colors.  #bringingbackthe70s I first started liking Tie-Dye shirts when I made my first DIY Tie-Dye tank tops for six flags during senior week at Boston University. My roommate and I decided that we wanted to be cool and be able to find each other easily in an amusement park if we ever lost each other….so what did we do? Tie-Dyes!!!!

Playing dress up never gets old

Tie-Dyes are super fun and easy to make though I do have to confess, my roommate Katelyn did most of the work. (Love ya Girlie!!) We started off with buying white tank tops from TJMaxx, of course making sure they were cotton since cotton works best to get the colors to blend well. We started twisting the shirts in different directions to get that fun swirly look. Afterwards, we (and by we, I mean Katelyn) squeezed different dyes into each section of the tied up shirt. After that, we placed the shirts in plastic bags and allowed it to sit and soak overnight. We then rinsed out the dye and then washed and dried the tanks. We were sooo ready for Six Flags! (I tried to go with a pink summery sunset theme.)

Attempting to be adorable....not sure if it really worked....oops

**Side note: there are many ways to getting different patterns. It’s just how you fold or twist the shirts. I was lazy and didn’t know what I was doing, so I did the simple swirls.

This DIY project has been one of the best ones yet since I can wear it whenever and wherever! Tie-Dye never goes out of style and always screams fun. I’ve been wearing it on super nice days feeling like the happiest girl in the world! Seriously….wearing bright happy colors always cheers me up!
